Earthing and Grounding is the foundation of Eco Somatic Beauty 🌹
Just take a moment to imagine how calming it feels to sit under the green canopy of a tree, take a walk in the woods, wade in a peaceful stream or watch the ocean. When our bare feet have a relationship with the Earth, we get a steady flow of energy circulating which grounds and relaxes our nervous systems. Most people are Earth energy deficient. We spend much of our time in buildings and cars, on computers or screens being busy, not acknowledging the ground below us. When we are disconnected we miss out on the energy giving, soothing balm of Earth’s regenerative essence. What would happen if we spent the time daily to recognize what sustains us, the source that gives us nourishment and sustenance?
Earth is always there for us, waiting to connect.
Our fast paced lives demand a more driven orientation. We use our will to get things done, be productive, go all day long which causes burn out. More work and less play. This causes an imbalance. When we don’t have time to process our emotions throughout the day, or have an equal amount of time to just be and not do, we accumulate repressed feelings in our fascia and nervous system, which can result in inflammation. It is well known and researched how damaging stress is on the body. One remedy to excess stress and inflammation is to reciprocate with the Earth through Grounding.
🌱Basic Grounding- Sit comfortably with your feet on the ground, or you can lay down. Imagine roots from you body’s core spreading down into the Earth’s depths. Feel the Earth reciprocating energy with your body, relax into her and let her hold you. Feel the love that she feels for you, and breathe into it.
Earthing is a therapeutic technique that involves reconnecting your body to the earth to realign your bioelectrical energy. There are several ways to practice earthing.
🌱Simple Earthing exercise– Walk barefoot on grass, sand, or soil, or sit with your bare feet on the ground. You can also lie on your back, legs, or arms on the ground, or press your hands into the soil or grass for at least twenty minutes. Swimming, gardening, hiking in nature and having the intention to commune with Nature will also have this effect.
🌱Earthing and Grounding for Health-The Journal of Environmental and Public Health has published a summary of the benefits of Earthing and Grounding which include: improved sleep, normalizes the day–night cortisol rhythm, reduces pain, reduces stress, shifts the autonomic nervous system from sympathetic toward parasympathetic activation, increases heart rate variability, speeds wound healing, and reduces blood viscosity.
🌱Earthing and Grounding for Wealth– there is abundance in Nature! We are literally born with everything we need to survive and be nourished which Earth and Nature provide (along with your Mother or caretaker). One of the most precious assets the world over is considered to be “natural resources.” The concept of money is based on this. Women instinctively know about this source. Females have everything they need within them to conceive, grow, birth, nourish and multiply the life force. Take a moment to feel what a miracle it is to be in a body, to breathe and be alive. This is true wealth!
🌱Earthing and Grounding for Beauty– Stress causes aging, illness and disease. Grounding has been studied and found to have many health benefits including better sleep, which is a pre-requisite to get your “beauty rest.” Studies by Gaétan Chevalier and Stephen T. Sinatra found that even one hour of contact with the earth restored facial blood flow to repair skin tissue in the participants! This noticeably improved facial appearance and overall health. The Earth produces the very best beauty resources which include air for breathing, sacred waters, gems and crystals, botanical and floral essences and herbal tonics and elixirs.
